CORE STABILIZATION EXERCISES
You know core exercises a great for you- but do you include core exercises in your fitness routine? When you picture a strong core, you probably imagine someone doing 100 crunches in a row to grow their six pack abs. But building ab strength is about much more than physical appearance. Core exercises are an important part of a well rounded fitness program. Some people may be able to do a sit up or a push up, but the real core exercise are often omitted.
Your core is a critical part of your body, some would argue that it is the center of everyday movement. It includes your pelvis, lower back, hips and abs. When performed correctly the core exercise trains all of those muscles to work in harmony. This leads to better balance and stability. Stability is important whether you’re riding a horse, on the tennis court or simply doing regular activities. In fact, most sports and other physical activities depend on stable core muscles.
This is why my clients know that I like to prescribe a healthy dose of planks and standing core moves to help you maximize all the benefits of a strong core. Effective core exercise can be done at home with little to no equipment.
